Books, beans, candles, crafts, herbs, oils, fairies, dragons, swords, tea, candy, coffee, and your aura! Shall I go on?

I finally got a chance to stop by this very original shop. Books, Beans, and Candles is Birmingham's only metaphysical shop.

It is in this fantastic old house and the interior is full of dark, antique wood furniture and soothing music. I first noticed the various fairy figurines since I have always been a fan of fairies. Continuing through the shop there are other fantasy items like dragons and wizards. There is jewelry, an herb shop, candles and oils, books, and more. The website http://www.bookbeancandle.com/ lists all the herbs including: slippery elm inner bark, passion flower, and dandelion root.

Of course this is a coffee shop so I must mention the coffee. Primavera roasts a blend only found here. It is the Fire Bolt coffee, a popular blend that folks make a special trip to get. There are various loose leaf teas. I had the Forever Fruit Tea which was a very pleasant pink tea with rose hips, orange peel, and .....? It was yum.

Also the people at the shop are super nice. Whether customer or employee they were all warm, friendly, and helpful. So if something a little different and unique is your thing this is the shop for you. Next time I go I'm getting a photo of my aura!
